Kenyon Hall proudly presents
Rebecca Kilgore & the Ray Skjelbred Trio
August 26th & 27th, 2022 at 7:30pm

Rebecca regularly performs worldwide at jazz festivals, jazz parties, and on jazz cruises. She has been a frequent guest on National Public Radio’s ‘Fresh Air’ with Terry Gross, has appeared on ‘A Prairie Home Companion’, and with Michael Feinstein at Carnegie Hall.
Rebecca is honored to have been inducted (in 2010) to the Oregon Music Hall of Fame and to the Jazz Society of Oregon’s Hall Of Fame, and to have been invited to perform at New York’s Mabel Mercer Cabaret Convention for three years at Town Hall and Lincoln Center. She was the guest of honor at the 2013 Roswell Jazz Festival, and honored as a Jazz Legend at the San Diego Jazz Party in 2016.
In 2020 she was named Portland Jazz Master by PDX Jazz, Portland’s nonprofit organizer of jazz concerts and annual Biamp Jazz Festival.

The Ray Skjelbred Trio plays classic hot jazz, swing and blues inspired by music from Chicago in the 1920's and 30's. The trio features Ray Skjelbred at the piano, Jacob Zimmerman playing clarinet and sax, and Matt Weiner on the bass. Each musician has many years’ experience and a strong historic sense of the music they set out to perform, as well as a sense of daring to explore new ideas in traditional forms.

In April 2022 we marked the one year anniversary of the loss of our dear Louis Magor, manager and constant inspiration at Kenyon Hall. We, the Seattle Artists Board of Directors, are motivated every day to keep the joy that Lou brought to the Hall present in everything we do here.
We are SO pleased to be able to announce that we are planning a public gathering to celebrate the life and legacy of this remarkable man!  Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 17, 2022!  Join us for a time of joyful remembering and stories shared by the artists and friends who, like all of us, miss the extraordinary person that was Louis Magor!

The April anniversary of Lou's passing is most certainly a reminder of our loss, but also of the wonder that was Lou. Our sincere thanks to all of you who continue to sustain us through your gifts of financial support as we slowly reopen to public performance!
