Kenyon Hall Presents
Great Aunt (AUS)

Saturday, March 2nd, 2023
DOORS @ 7:00PM
PERFORMANCES @ 7:30PM

Raw and austere, simple and bold; full of stomping feet and clapping hands, chants and harmonies, whispered words and soulful lament - that’s the music of Great Aunt. Listen, and you'll hear tales of joy and grief, whiskey and wine, gratitude and purpose-seeking.

Formed in 2016, the duo is a collaboration between songwriter/instrumentalists Megan Bird (mandolin, resonator, acoustic guitar, vocals) and Chelsea Allen (double bass, vocals, percussion), and draws inspiration from the traditions of old time, bluegrass, and gospel music, with loving homage to their diverse backgrounds in punk, jazz, roots, soul, and folk music. The instrumentation and arrangements are bare and bold: using only various combinations of mandolin, guitar, or resonator with double bass and percussion, and the sonorous voices of Bird and Allen in harmony.

Feat. Acacia Forgot
Saturday, March 23rd 2024
DOORS @ 7:00PM
SHOWTIME @ 7:30PM

WILEY GABY
Brooklyn-based, Florida-born Wiley Gaby (formerly Goldenchild) writes heartfelt hurtin’ songs and delivers them with tear-stained, emotional vocals—exploring “balladeer vulnerability and melodrama by swelling into high notes and emoting with sly finesse” (NPR Music).

ACACIA FORGOT
Acacia Forgot, who is based in Los Angeles, coasts through life’s highs and lows through the eyes of traditional country/folk music, bringing bursts of joy and laughter to an, otherwise, melancholy tune. Kenyon Hall Presents
Zan Fiskum
Feat. Gina Belliveau
Saturday, March 30th 2024
DOORS @ 7:00PM
SHOWTIME @ 7:30PM

Zan Fiskum is an americana singer-songwriter raised in the small town of Maple Valley, WA where she spent most of her time either running barefoot in the forest or volunteering with her family at a local dinner theater, both of which inspired her to make the music she is today. Her angelic voice soars over her soulful and ethereal storytelling. Reminiscent of artists Laura Marling and Brandi Carlile, she blends the lines between adult contemporary and americana/folk as she writes about the intricacies of family dynamics, connection to the natural world, and love. She made her national debut on season 18 of NBC’s The Voice finishing as a top 9 finalist which spearheaded her two self-released records with over 3 million digital streams. Zan has gone on to tour nationally and share the stage with John Legend, Dave Mathews, Prateek Kudah, Landreth Bros, and many more.

Gina Belliveau is a Tacoma-based musician who plays looped, percussive acoustic folk with an achilles heel for ridiculous pop cover tunes (www.reverbnation.com/ginabelliveau). Her ever expanding repertoire runs the gamut from Billie Holiday to Billie Jean.
With an adaptable sound to fit any room, she has played at raucous bars, mellow wineries, art auctions, as well as corporate events for Microsoft, Hard Rock Cafe, Wild Waves Theme Park, among others. Most recently, she worked on a couple cruise contracts with Holland America Line. Other places she's played include a hot tub in the middle of Mediterranean and a flea circus.
