West Seattle Story Slam is an open-mic storytelling event in which anyone can share a true, personal, 5-minute story on the night's theme. Sign up for a chance to tell a story or sit back and enjoy the show! Tonight’s theme is…”Honor”. A story about someone you respect, was it ever hard to maintain? Did you ever lose it or lose it for someone? When did honor push you past your limit?

While we highly encourage “tales from the heart” that most story-telling entails, we also want to encourage writers that are looking to experiment with fiction, poetry, lyricism and other non-prose forms of storytelling and expression. If you are more inclined to creating something with music or a beat behind hit, check out our open-mic series co-hosted with ‘The El’ on the 3rd Friday of every month.
