As a non-profit organization, volunteers are crucial to keeping Kenyon Hall running.
What volunteers do
Our volunteers serve at each of our live performances. At each event, up to five volunteers perform a variety of tasks: setting up the theater before shows, selling and taking tickets, serving concessions, staffing merchandise tables, and general maintenance and clean-up after the shows. And they also have a lot of fun!
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
The nature of work required for volunteer shifts are often fast-paced and varied; we currently ask that volunteers have the ability to see, hear, and communicate in English. Some volunteer activities require the following: ascending and descending stairs, the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, basic money-handling mathematics, handling of a point-of-sale system, and handling concessions. If you have any questions or concerns about these requirements, please reach out! We will work with you to find a volunteer role that suits you best.
PERKS OF VOLUNTEERING
Volunteers are often able to hear some or even all of the performance for an event they work. They also earn credit towards free passes good for future shows. We provide a safe, fun, and welcoming environment working alongside music fans of all ages from diverse backgrounds.
GETTING STARTED
It is recommended that every Kenyon Hall volunteer download and read through our Volunteer Onboarding Handbook and come ready to learn and have fun! We have many people that have volunteered at the Hall for years; it’s easy to get a hang of with a little help from veteran volunteers and members from the community!
