  • Kenyon Hall is located at 7904 35th Ave SW in West Seattle between the High Point and Roxhill Neighborhoods. The Hall is accessible via a main entrance on 35th avenue or through alley access via Kenyon Ave. There is a ramp from alley for wheelchair accessibility or load-in. The room is approximately 51’ x 30’ with 15’ ceilings. Maximum audience capacity is 150 with a max seated audience of 120 (padded chairs stacked in rear corner).

Kenyon Hall’s stage is 8’ x 8’ with an available 4’ extension that can be added to front. Big enough to fit a 4-5 piece ensemble.

Kenyon Hall’s kitchen/concessions area includes stove/oven/hood combo, refrigerator, popcorn machine, Keurig coffee maker, 3-compartment sink, microwave, with full janitorial closet/cleaning supplies.

Kenyon Hall has climate control with a Honeywell thermostat located near the front of Performance space.

Acoustics are reverberant. The room sounds wonderful for most unamplified music, DJ’s, and small amplified ensembles. A curtain behind the stage can be shut to control some of stage sound.

There is a front hall in main entrance that can be used for ticket sales. Two restrooms are located at the front of Hall. Please note there are no side wings or backstage area, no place to build or store sets. There is a dressing room on second level located off of control room with limited seating/clothing racks.

WHAT IS PROVIDED: Use of the hall includes the building, including kitchen (all kitchen utilities and kitchen-ware), bathrooms, tables, and chairs, lights*, sound system*. Renter will be responsible for setting and striking any tables and/or chairs used for their event.

PUBLIC RENTALS: Any public rental is a self-presenting situation. Renter will assume responsibility for promotion, running lights/sound/box office, set up chairs, and clean up and all staffing needs. An on-duty caretaker will open/close space, but there is no staff to assist you with running your event.

If you plan to use our sound system, we prefer that you hire one of our approved audio technicians. Their fees vary depending on the individual and the complexity of your event, but the average fee is about $150 per night. You contract with them directly, and we do not take a cut of their fee. While this adds some extra expense, it saves you the potential cost of having to replace or repair equipment that is damaged during your event; if our technician breaks something, you are not responsible. If you prefer to hire someone who is not on our tech list, they will need to come in a week or two before your show for a walk-through of the system.

PIANO: Steinway Model M. If you want the piano tuned, it is your responsibility to coordinate with our Operations Director and pay for that. You can hire your own tuner, or we can recommend one.

MUSIC STANDS: We usually have about 2-3 Manhassett music stands (they come and go), but no stand lights.

LIGHTING: Hall has dimmable wall sconces and two stages of dimmable overhead lighting. Stage Lights are hung on two vertical bars on either side of stage at mid-room for stage lighting. Our lighting plot is set to a standard stage wash that works well for most shows. Renters may not make changes to our standard lighting plot; you must use it as is.

Control console – Elation Professional Stage Setter-8, no scene presets, DMX protocol output to 1.2 kW capacity dimmers. The control board is very easy to operate, and there are directions posted in sound booth.

Instruments – Yamaha digital keyboards (name these).

INTERNET: Quantum Fiber throughout hall, accessible via ethernet or wifi. This makes live streaming possible, but client will need to provide streaming source (laptop, computer)
